Dr. Mina Hosseinipour is a Co-PI on the Malawi project. Dr. Mina Hosseinipour, the Scientific Director of the Univerity of North Carolina (UNC) Project-Malawi, Professor of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill and Honorary Faculty at the University of the Malawi College of Medicine.

Dr. Mina Hosseinipour is a Co-PI on the Malawi project. Dr. Mina Hosseinipour, the Scientific Director of the Univerity of North Carolina (UNC) Project-Malawi, Professor of Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill and Honorary Faculty at the University of the Malawi College of Medicine. She is also a Co-PI on a current D43 NIH-sponsored program, Malawi HIV Implementation Research Scientist Training Program (MHIRST).

Dr. Hosseinipour is an infectious disease physician, she has lived and worked in Malawi since 2001 and was the recipient of a Fogarty International research career development award. During her time in Malawi, she has developed strong working relationships with the Ministry of Health, the University of Malawi
College of Medicine, and the Kamuzu Central Hospital. She has been the investigator of record for the NIH AACTG (AIDS Clinical Trials Group) and HPTN (HIV Prevention Trials Unit) clinical trials that have been conducted at the Lilongwe site and has a strong record of interdependent research based on the evaluation of the Malawi national ART program.
