Dr. Victor Dávila-Román is a Co-Principal Investigator on the Rwandan study, a cardiologist and a Professor of Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Radiology at the Washington Univesity in Saint Louis.

Dr. Victor Dávila-Román is a Co-Principal Investigator on the Rwandan study, a cardiologist and a Professor of Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Radiology at the Washing Univesity in Saint Louis. Dr. Victor Dávila-Román is a Professor of Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Radiology. He is also the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Imaging and Clinical Research Core Laboratory (CIRCL), and an Associate Director of Nutrition Obesity Research Center Clinical Science Research Core.

Dr. DavilaRoman received a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico, then completed a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Dávila-Román has more than 20 years of administrative and clinical research expertise with extensive experience in the area of cardiovascular imaging, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear medicine techniques. He serves on the GRIT consortium’s governing council as the chair of the consortium.
